Diversity & Inclusion
At AGRANA Fruit Brazil we offer a diversified work environment. As a global company, we are very proud of our diverse workforce and attach great importance to equal opportunity and diversity. We welcome and encourage everyone regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, religion or sexual orientation who is passionate about our company to apply for our positions. We have programs in place that aim to ensure Diversity & Inclusion in our team, one of which is the Better Age Program. The objective of this program is to value the experience and diversity of generations, having as an initiative the local goal of hiring at least 3% of our employees over 50 years of age.
“Safety Stars” Program
Our "Safety Stars" program presents on a weekly basis the employees who stood out in safety related behavior. There are two forms of evaluation:
- The Safety sector or its Leader catches safety related behavior in a casual way.
- A co-worker praises safety related behavior with punctual safety observation.
Featured employees are posted on the factory bulletin board and their good example is mentioned during the weekly management meeting.
Social and environmental audits
Since 2018, AGRANA Fruit Brazil has been evaluated with the "SMETA" Ethical Audit (SEDEX Members Ethical Trade Audit), through which we promote equality practices, a safe place to work, free from bribery and corruption, and using sustainable methods in our processes to maintain the environment intact for our future generations. As our country has a natural environment rich and abundant in biodiversity, with high soil quality, we need to contribute to our nation becoming a green power over the years. For that, we have an evaluation system aligned with local regulatory authorities, ensuring that all natural resources are being used wisely, always seeking to optimize them.
